Your data, plainly explained

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 26, 2026.

What we collect

When you create a free account, we store your name and email address through the platform’s sign-in. We also store the places, transit lines, airports, and weather areas you save, and the community wait-time reports you share — reports are linked to your account so you can manage what you’ve posted.

We record lightweight visit analytics (such as which days the app was used) to understand how the app is growing and where to improve it. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Your location

Your location is only used when you ask for it — for example when you tap “Near Me” or “Use My Location”. It is processed on your device to sort results by distance, and we do not store it.

Third-party data sources

Wait times and conditions shown in the app come from Official/Live sources (such as MTA real-time feeds and the National Weather Service), Community Reported sources (reports shared by users), and Estimated/Illustrative sources (planning estimates). These sources are operated by third parties or built from public data like OpenStreetMap, and their availability and accuracy are outside our control. Nothing in the app is guaranteed accurate or live.

Your choices

You can remove saved items at any time. You can also delete your account and your data from the My WaitTime page — deletion is self-service and permanent.
