Using WaitTime NY
WaitTime NY is a free service for personal, non-commercial use. By using it you agree to these terms. When you share a community report, keep it honest and respectful — reports that are spam, abusive, or deliberately misleading may be removed, and accounts used for abuse may be suspended.
Data accuracy
Every wait time and status in the app is labeled by its source: Official/Live (from official real-time feeds), Community Reported (shared by users), or Estimated/Illustrative (a planning estimate). Wait times change constantly and the app cannot guarantee that any figure is accurate or current. Always verify critical travel and service information — trains, flights, government appointments, weather warnings — directly with the official agency, such as the MTA, the Port Authority, NY DMV, Social Security, or the National Weather Service, before making plans.
No affiliation
WaitTime NY is an independent project. It is not the official app of, and is not affiliated with, the MTA, the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, New York State, New York City, or any other agency.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WaitTime NY is not liable for any loss or inconvenience arising from your use of the app or reliance on its information.
